Wedding on a tight budget?
Remember what is truly important about this special day:

That you and your loved one will be standing together in front of your family and friends. And you will be making promises to each other which will irrevocably change your lives.

So be sure to get yourselves a minister who will give you a wonderful, meaningful service. Let the rest get sorted out in order of relative importance.

Consider these ideas which can help you marry when you have a tight budget:

Preparing for the Wedding Ceremony:

- Skip the Rehearsal and Dinner. The only thing you really need to rehearse: getting the attendants to the right place in line. Your minister can show you how to accomplish this in 10 minutes or less, on the day of the wedding.

The wedding Ceremony itself:

- Avoid marrying on any Saturday between 4PM and 8PM. Everyone else will be marrying then, so every chapel, every caterer, every banquet site, every limo service. . . even your pastor . . . will be more expensive during that time.

Wonderful alternate times to consider: Friday night, Saturday morning (it can be so beautiful, and you get to spend the whole day with your friends. Even Earlier Saturday afternoon. Or Sunday afternoon/evening.

Keep it Simple:
-Instead of renting Tuxes, ask the men to wear shirts and ties, with or without dark sports coats. Ditto for the ladies’ wear.
- Instead of catering, choose a site which will permit a potluck dinner. That way all your friends get to contribute to the good food and good times.
